He's been coaching football since the year 2000, and basically ever since he stopped playing the sport professionally. We’re excited to see what Christian will come up with in the future and on the field!

Chris Long & Howie Long

Howie Long is almost at the age of 60 now, and he's left an awesome legacy behind. He played football as a defensive end for 13 entire seasons, which makes him one of the longest playing sportsmen in the NHL! He was drafted by the Oakland Raiders way back in 1981 and stayed with them for all the seasons that he played. After he was done with the career, he decided to go into acting and also dabbled with being a football analyst! Chris looks exactly like his father on the field, and even plays the same position as him! We're certain that Chris is going to make his team, the Philadelphia Eagles, a lot better than before they drafted him.

Kyle Long & Howie Long

Howie Long is the perfect example of how a football career should look like. He's played a full 13 seasons on one single team, which proves his love for the sport and his loyalty to his team. He's barely had any obstacles in his path, and entered retirement happily when he felt like his time with the sport was over. The Oakland Raiders made one of their best decisions when they drafted him into the team solely from his player stats on the field. Now, Kyle Long is trying to reinstate his father's legacy, and he's doing an awesome job of it! Unlike his brother, Chris, who happens to play as a defensive end, Kyle is a guard, and plays for the popular team known as the Chicago Bears!

Eli Manning & Archie Manning

Eli Manning is a legend in the league, and at 38 years old he is one of the oldest players currently. His dedication to the sport truly shows for so many years shows the influence his great father had, Archie Manning. Archie Manning was one of the most popular football players throughout the country back in the day when he played for both the Saints & the Vikings. Eli’s been playing as a quarterback for the New York Giants, and he’s done an exceptional job playing the part. And at 38, isn’t even done yet! While most players decide to start their retirement by the time they hit their late 30s, Eli hasn’t thought it’s time to stop, even though he’s 38! Like father like son as Archie was also a quarterback, and played an entirety of 13 seasons, making him a fully seasoned player with a wealth of football experience. He’s played for the Saints for the majority of his career.

Peyton Manning & Archie Manning

After retirement, Archie's moved on to several different roles, each more exciting than the last. He's cooped up comfortably in New Orleans, which is where he originally started playing football professionally. Archie has played with the New Orleans Saints for most of his playing career, and it’s quite fitting that that’s the city he’d choose to settle down in. He’s currently a proud father as two of his children have chosen to carry on his name into the field. Peyton Manning, brother to Eli Manning, is a quarterback like the rest of his family. He’s played with the Indianapolis Colts while he was active, and has gone into retirement for a few years now. Peyton has always been a fan favorite due to not only his athleticism but his character. We’ve yet to see if his children become football stars too, but we're sure they will!

Jarrett Payton & Walter Payton

It's strange how children of football stars generally follow in their father's footsteps and play the exact position that they did. This also happens to be the case with Jarret and Walter Payton, who both happen to have been/currently are running backs. Jarret has also played for the Canadian Football League for a few years and is close to his retirement. His father, known as ‘Sweetness’ on the field during the days when he was actively playing, had signed in with the Chicago Bears and completed his 13 seasons of football without breaking a sweat.

Chris Simms & Phil Simms

Chris has had roles in multiple careers during his youth, although he's getting close to the 40-year mark, which is where most football stars decide to quit the sport and enter their retirement. Currently, he's a coach for the New England Patriots, and although he's an assistant coach, he's really stepping up the game for the rest of the team. He's been there since 2012, which means he's probably had just about enough of it. He's also had a broadcasting career with Fox, a widely popular channel across the U.S. His father, now aged 63, played quarterback just like his son. While Chris played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, his father was inclined towards the New York Giants. They’ve both had spectacular careers!

Bryan McClendon & Willie McClendon

Bryan's already got his future secure when he decides to seek retirement from football. South Carolina is already placing its eyes on him as their future head coach, and he's got absolutely no monetary problems whatsoever with the large raises he keeps on getting! He's made a 5-figure salary for quite some time now, and if that's not enough for him to live out the rest of his days comfortably, then we're not sure what could possibly fill that gap. Of course, there’s no telling when he’ll grow tired of coaching, but his love for the sport is apparent so we don't think it's any time soon. His father, Willie McClendon, was a formidable running back in his days and played for the Chicago Bears. He’s 61 years of age now and comfortably living in retirement.

Ryan Nece & Ronnie Lott

Ryan's seen his fair share of fans when he was actively playing football. If he and his father could be of the same age simultaneously, you'd think they're practically clones of one another! That's how similar their looks and playstyle is to each other! Ryan's been playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a good chunk of his football career before he decided to announce his retirement. He's almost 40 years of age now, while his father, Ronnie, is almost at the age of 60! Ronnie’s played multiple positions during his life of football, including cornerback, and strong safety! Something you probably don’t know about him is that he’s also been a singer during his life, releasing songs like Blue Faces and All I Need.

Matt Hasselbeck & Don Hasselbeck

Matt's had an amazing football career much like his father, Don Hasselbeck, who's almost 65 years of age now! Both of them have ended their football careers and have moved on, with Don being happily in retirement. Things probably couldn't have worked out better for these two, and we're sure that Don is proud of how far his son came following in his footsteps. It can only be speculated how further Matt's going to go from this point onwards, now that he's done playing football. He's certainly not done filling up his bank account, so we're excited to see what he has in store! He played as a quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, while his father played for the New York Giants!

Tim Hasselbeck & Don Hasselbeck

Don's been blessed with two sons who've gone as far into football as they could. They've both played professionally for their entire lives and have amassed a huge following of fans all over the country. They've done a stellar job with their football careers, and Tim has gone for the quarterback position for a complete array of teams which includes the Baltimore Ravens and the Buffalo Bills. He decided it was time for retirement when he was with the Arizona Cardinals. His father, Don, who's now 63 years of age, has also played football his entire life and is now living quietly in retirement. He’s played with the New York Giants, the Los Angeles Raider, and even the New England Patriots during his playing years!

Lofa Tatupu & Mosi Tatupu

Lofa's getting closer to retirement with every passing year. 40's the age which most football prefer not to cross since the strain their body undergoes on the field is just not worth earning more money, and the risk of injury becomes far too great. Lofa is currently 36 years of age, so we're guessing he's considering leaving the sport these days. This monstrous player is a linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons, and they couldn't be any happier to have him. His father, Mosi Tatupu, played football for a whole 15 years, which is more than what most players dedicated to the sport! He's played for the New England Patriots, and was quite the well-known player back in his day!

Clay Matthews & Clay Matthews Jr.

Clay Matthews is only 32 years old, which means he's got a few years of the sport left before he decides to retire and fans can rejoice as they read this! He's a linebacker, and he's currently playing for the Green Bay Packers of the NHL. He's got a substantial amount of experience playing the game, and he's nowhere near done with it yet! His father, who's now 62 years old, is living in retirement these days, and just like his son, he was also a linebacker! It's funny how sons always follow in their fathers’ footsteps in which position they play. It’s more often than not that the son will play exactly the same position that their father did.

Clay Matthews Jr. & Clay Matthews Sr.

This is one of the rare cases in which a son, a father and a grandfather have all entered the professional football scene. Clay Matthews Senior, who started the family trend of winning millions of hearts on the field and he made a killing out of it too, stacking up the big bucks in his bank account. He played for the San Francisco 49ers and was one of the pioneers for them back then! Unfortunately, he died only recently in 2017 while he was comfortably living in his retirement home. His son, Clay Matthew Junior, put on his uniform and set out to carry on his father's name, and he did so with a touch of aptitude and talent!

Bobby Carpenter & Rob Carpenter

Even at the age of 63, Rob Carpenter hasn't thought of moving into permanent retirement. Instead, he's turned into a coach for the Lancaster High School team for football. It probably brings him back to his old days when he was young. This was when he was offered a car just to play for a college football team. That truly shows what a talented individual he was, and as the running back, he's done an epic job. His son, Bobby Carpenter, who's one of many, is currently playing as a linebacker for the New England Patriots.  He's 35 years old, which means he might start considering retirement in a few years, given that very few players go on playing after the age of 40.

Anthony Chickillo & Tony Chickillo

A linebacker for his team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Anthony Chickillo has done a fine job of following in his father's footsteps and becoming a football star. He's really young, and probably has more than a decade left of his career since he's only 26 years old right now. However, his age hasn't been an obstacle so far in his run to become one of the best players on the field. Tony, Anthony’s father, is now in retirement and hasn’t played football professionally for quite a few years now. He was a defensive lineman, unlike his son, and played with the New York Jets before he realized the game wasn’t for him to play anymore. We’re sure Anthony’s going to make his father proud!

Brian Griese & Bob Griese

Brian isn't playing football as he's retired now. He's 43 years of age, which meant it was high time that he called it quits before he got injured somehow. However, simple retirement from football wasn't enough to quell his love for the game, and he became a commentator for college football for ESPN, which is quite the prestigious position to hold! While he was playing the sport, he was a quarterback for the Chicago Bears, and we're certain they still miss having his skill set on the team! Bob Griese, Brian's father, hasn't played the game in quite some time, now that he's 73 years old. He's enjoying a well deserved time off from all things requiring excessive and extreme exertion.

Matthew Slater & Jackie Slater

Mathew Slater is one huge player, and his size is necessary due to the role he plays as a special teamer. He was first drafted almost ten years ago and has since made huge strides down the path to becoming one of the best and widely respected players on the field. Of course, a whole lot of this respect and reverence already existed since Matthew is the son of the well-known Jackie Slater, who's in retirement now, but was a legend back in the days he used to play. His career lasted 20 years, and as the offensive tackle, he did much to change the way his team played. Matthew currently plays with the New England Patriots, and we're certain he'll do a great job this season!

Daylon McCutcheon & Lawrence McCutcheon

Daylon has entered retirement after a long career in football. He stopped playing only recently, so if you wanted to see him play, you're all out of luck. He even coached for the last three years during which he decided to quit the sport once and for all. When he was actively playing the sport, he used to be a cornerback, unlike his father, who used to be a running back. Lawrence McCutcheon is now 68 years old and enjoying his time off from the sport as much as he possibly can while thinking back on the glory days that he's been through. Both father and son, look extremely reminiscent on the field, and you'd easily be able to tell that they're related!

Enrique Iglesias And Julio Iglesias

Julio Iglesias’ dreams to pursue a career in professional football was hit by an accident which proved to be a major thorn in his life. His health insurance was not up to the mark, and he was on the verge of getting crippled. Luckily, his nurse handed him a guitar, and Julio’s life changed forever. His son, Enrique, has inherited his good looks and has successfully proved his own worth in the music industry, amassing a massive fortune in his bank account. His better half and tennis star, Anna Kournikova, has given birth to twins last year, and Enrique has made huge investments after buying a Miami mansion for his family.

 

Kiefer And Donald Sutherland

Donald Sutherland grabbed the limelight with his portrayals in The Dirty Dozen, M*A*S*H, and Klute. He chanced upon his better half in college from where he earned a double major in drama and engineering. His son, Kiefer Sutherland, is best known for his enactment as Jack Bauer in 24 and has come up with some significant investments, besides co-owning Ironworks, an indie record company. He found himself entangled in legal hassles, once for physically assaulting another celebrity, and another for DUI, but his lawyer has bailed him out. Hopefully, he will be a little alert in the future and refrain himself from getting involved in unpleasant incidents.

David Beckham & Brooklyn Beckham At Age 16

When your parents are Victoria and David Beckham, you know you're going to grow up to be a handsome guy. Brooklyn Beckham enjoys playing soccer, just like his dad, but has no ambitions to go pro. Instead, he prefers to follow in his mom's footsteps and pursue a creative career. His good looks have scored him multiple modeling contracts and endorsements, so his bank account is already filled with about $18 million. Beckham loves photography and even published his own collection, which was met with mixed reviews.

Heather Locklear & Ava Sambora At Age 20

Churning out hits such as "Teen Idols", "Poor Little Fool", and many more, he went on to establish himself as a prolific performer. He got hitched to Kris Harmon and shared twins, Matthew and Eric, Tracy Nelson, and Sam, but had to appoint a divorce lawyer even after spending 14 years together. Rick started dating Helen Blair in 1980, and their love affair continued until a plane crash in 1985 led them to an abrupt end. Hopefully, Rick had chalked out some investments for his children before he passed away.

The young and lovely Allison Williams is the daughter of renowned TV personality and news anchor, Brian Williams. Allison is an actress, model, and singer, and she's admitted that it has been difficult gaining popularity after the controversy her father had caused, which shadows her career. Jude Law & Rafferty Law At Age 21

Rafferty certainly bears resemblance to his father, actor Jude Law, but he has chosen a career in modeling and singing rather than in acting. Rafferty is the lead vocalist for The Dirty Harry, but it's his modeling that really brought him fame. Benjamin Keough & Elvis Presley
