Lizzo is once again proving she's on her own path—one defined by self-love, body awareness, and standing firm in who she is. At a recent Amazon MGM Studios event, she made a bold fashion statement in a tight red corset and matching miniskirt, turning heads and commanding the spotlight.

But beyond the style moment, her message about health, perception, and fame really resonated.

Lizzo’s Stunning New Look

The Grammy-winning artist showed up at the 2025 Amazon Upfronts at the Beacon Theatre in New York in an outfit that screamed confidence. She paired a bold red corset with a short skirt and layered it over a black T-shirt. The ensemble revealed her noticeably slimmer waist and highlighted her recent physical transformation.

Her accessories kept things edgy—silver bangles, rings, a necklace, and hoop earrings added that extra flair. With platinum blonde hair and subtle makeup, Lizzo looked every bit the superstar. Later that evening, she switched things up in a black crocheted dress with cut-out details, chunky black heels, and hair styled in a half-up, half-down do.

Taking Control of Her Health

Lizzo recently shared more about what she's been calling a “weight release journey.” During a conversation on The Breakfast Club, she explained that her transformation wasn’t just physical—it started from within.

“I had to get rid of all the mental noise first. Once I cleared my mind and let go of the negativity, my body started reflecting that shift,” she shared. “It wasn’t just about the numbers—it was about energy and mindset.”

When radio host Charlamagne Tha God commented that she didn’t look “big” anymore, Lizzo clapped back with zero hesitation. “I am big,” she said. “People online say I’m skinny now, but I weigh over 200 pounds. I’m 5’9 and still wear double-digit pants. I know what I look like.”

Her words were honest and defiant, a reminder that she isn’t letting outside opinions define her.

Skinny Isn’t a Look. It’s a Feeling

While Lizzo has shared that she’s lost about 16% of her body fat, she made it clear that how she feels matters more than how she looks.

“There were times when I was at my heaviest, wearing a string bikini, and I felt skinny,” she said. “That’s when it hit me—being skinny is really a mindset, not a size.”

She also addressed the widespread rumors that she used weight loss medications like Ozempic. Lizzo shut those down, explaining that her approach involved being in a calorie deficit and making conscious food choices, not quick fixes.

- She dropped sugary drinks (like her regular Starbucks orders)
- Focused on more savory meals instead of sweet treats
- Cut back on high-calorie habits she hadn’t even realized added up

“I had no clue those coffees were adding over a thousand calories a day,” she admitted. “What really worked was tracking my intake and understanding my body’s needs.”

The Loneliness of Fame

Fame has brought success and opportunity, but it’s also come at a cost. In a recent interview with Ziwe, Lizzo got candid about how her relationships have changed since becoming a household name.

“I used to have so many friends,” she said. “Now? Hardly anyone. People act weird around you once you’re famous. Everything gets awkward.”

She even gave an “anti-fame PSA,” saying, “Don’t aim for fame. Aim for your art, your passion. Fame doesn’t stop, it doesn’t let you rest.”

Lizzo Isn’t Asking for Approval

Lizzo's recent public appearances and interviews aren’t just about showing off a slimmer figure—they’re about reclaiming her narrative. She’s not chasing trends or trying to fit into Hollywood’s narrow ideals. Instead, she’s opening up about health, self-image, and how fame can isolate even the most outgoing stars.

And with her signature boldness and honesty, she’s making it clear: her story is hers to tell. Whether in a corset or a bikini, Lizzo is showing up exactly as she is—powerful, real, and unapologetically herself.
