Shocked Beyond Words

When Mason finally decided to walk down the aisle with the love of his life Julia, he thought everything in the world was perfect, including the woman. But it took just one night for him to unravel everything, and the supposed perfect night turned out to be a not-so-perfect night.
Mason had locked him out of the room, but when he finally got inside, he was utterly shocked because of what he saw inside. He didn't expect anything like this would happen to him. For him, the only option was to get divorced; the only thing he could think of was divorce.

Peek into the Hotel Room

When Mason found himself locked out of the total room, he first knocked on the door, but strangely Julia refused to open it. It wasn't that late, so she shouldn't have fallen asleep. He didn't know precisely what was happening.

He started feeling suspicious as to what was happening behind closed doors. His persistent knocking didn't give any answer; he couldn't dream of sleeping in the hall; in fact, it seemed rather weird to him that he would have to spend the night in the gallery. It seemed pretty strange that Julia would fall asleep so soon.

The Room Was Empty

Mason had been in the hotel lobby for some time when she decided to call someone from the hotel so that they would come and help him open the door since Julia didn't seem to open the door.

When he finally got someone to open the door for him, he burst inside to see what was wrong with Julia; he was half scared that something was wrong. But to his surprise, there was no Julia in the room; the space was empty. What he did find was a letter on the bed, which surprised him no end,

Mason read the letter, not knowing what to think. Has Julia left him? He could not fathom why his wife had left the room. He certainly needed some answers to his unanswered, so he reached for the letter and tore it open.

The letter was from Julia, but Mason couldn't believe what she had written in the letter. Why did she do it? They had just married, so what could have happened in this short time? What she wrote in the letter was unbelievable, and it was incredible to think that Julia had left him on the first day of their marriage.

What Went Wrong?

No one could have thought in their wildest dreams that Mason and Julia would separate on the first day of their marriage. Since they always had such great camaraderie, nobody could believe that the duo would separate in such a short time. For Mason, it seemed they were a part of a romantic comedy, and suddenly, everything went wrong.

But of course, he didn't know what would happen, and to think that he knew so little of Julia. He felt their relationship would last forever and ever, but how wrong was he?

How The Couple Met

But before we know exactly what could happen, we should dive into how the couple met. The duo had met at a bar. Mason had been a regular at the bar.

When Mason first spotted her, he was immediately drawn to her. He felt he needed to talk with her and muster up enough confidence to go and talk with her. After all, it is pretty standard for people to meet at a bar, and even if she refuses to speak to him, there is no harm in trying. So, Mason decided to do just that, talk with her.

Hit It Off Right Away

When the two began conversing talk, they immediately hit it off. Mason thought a woman like her wouldn't give her enough importance, but surprisingly, the woman was as interested in him as he was in her.

They had a great evening together and were friendly enough to exchange numbers by the night's end. Right from that time, things started moving fast between them. They knew they were meant to be each other.

Hurdles in the Way

As the weeks progressed, Mason and Julia were utterly inseparable. The two of them began seeing each other every day, and soon enough, they were so close that they decided to introduce themselves to familiar friends and family. They were officially a couple, and there were no two ways.

But there are always some hurdles in the way, as it happens in the life of both couples, which Mason was pretty nervous about. It had something to do with his past. There was something that Julia didn't know about, and Mason wanted to come clean about it, but something was stopping him.

The past

He didn't want Julia to know that Mason had a past. His ex-girlfriend was known as Samantha, and they had a significant relationship. One night though, he didn't know what to do anymore and realized he needed to spill the beans. It didn't be pandering with half-truths, and it was time to reveal it all.

No More Children

Mason realized that he needed to tell everything to Julia as she was excited about the wedding and the prospect of having future children. Mason fell into deep silence when she said that and finally decided to tell her the secret he had been holding on to for so long.

He had undergone a vasectomy after his first divorce and didn't want any children. It was indeed a big secret, and it can genuinely impact their relationship, as having children is one of the most important aspects of a couple's life; taking it away from Julia won't be fair.
